MXC Design is based in the Hollywood Hills, California and
Seattle, Washington. The design focuses on a "warm modernism"- a fusion of
clean lines and Asian influences with natural materials, finely detailed and
crafted.
Matthew X. Curry studied at Pratt Institute's School of Architecture in New
York. His architectural training has informed all areas of his multi-faceted
career, including interior and furniture design, as well as fine art. During an
invaluable year spent in Prague, Matthew focused upon his fine art. He
self-published a book of his work and co-hosted a USC seminar on international
land use.
Matthew has had the good fortune to practice in diverse arenas including yacht
interiors, legal/investment firms, celebrity offices, screening rooms,
restaurants and night clubs. His residential projects have ranged from 150 to
26,000 square feet. His work has appeared in several magazines, the occasional
gallery, and on TV/Cable and will be featured on HGTV's "Generation Renovation"
airing in 2006.
